Under the supreme guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha(Regd.) & College Managing Committee, a Teej was celebrated in SDP College for Women, Ludhiana on 14th August 2019 with great cultural, aesthetic gaiety and amidst all rituals and traditional fervour. The students dressed up in Punjabi traditional attires also donned colourful phulkaris and embellished jewellery. They also danced to the tunes of Punjabi folk songs. A perfect ambience was created to mark the festivity by organising various competitions such as Bangles, Mehandi, Jutti and Paranda competition. Mrs. Kiran Chugh, Sh Deepak Kapoor, Smt Anu Kapoor, Mrs. Shivani Gupta, and Smt Meenakshi Gupta graced the function with their benign presence. Speaking on the occasion, Smt Anu Kapoor said that celebrations are of great help to make the students aware of our cultural values and traditions. Ms Manju Bhashinee, Officiating Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and also motivated them to participate in co-academic activities.
