SDP College for Women organises One Day Seminar on ‘Significance and Constraints of Agricultural Marketing in India'
Under the expert guidance and stewardship of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, esteemed President, S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.) and College Managing Committee, One day Seminar on ‘Significance and Constraints of Agricultural Marketing in India’ was organised by the Department of Social Science and Education, SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. The resource person, Dr. H.K. Mavi, Professor, Scientist, Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, was accorded a very warm welcome by Principal, Dr. Neetu Handa and faculty members of Social Science and BA.,B.Ed Department. The Extension lecture was attended by the faculty and students of SDP College for Women, SDP Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, SDP Senior Secondary School, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana. Dr. Mavi emphasized the significance of Agricultural Marketing in accelerating the pace of economic development besides stimulating production and consumption. The listeners were also apprised of the constraints of Agricultural Marketing in India. A Poster making activity was also arranged by both the departments wherein students artistically represented the burning issues of 'Mother Earth and Farmers'. Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal appreciated both the departments for organizing this event. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, proposed a formal Vote of Thanks to the revered speaker for delivering such a meaningful and informative lecture. She also admired the audience for attending the lecture attentively. Participants of Poster Making activity were felicitated with certificates at the end of the event.
एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन, लुधियाना ने 'भारत और पंजाब में कृषि विपणन के महत्व और बाधाएं' विषय पर एक दिवसीय सेमिनार का किया आयोजन
दिनांक 26 फरवरी, 2024 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी.कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन जी की प्रेरणा से कॉलेज के सामाजिक विज्ञान और शिक्षा विभागों द्वारा 'भारत में कृषि विपणन के महत्व और बाधाएं' विषय पर एक दिवसीय सेमिनार का आयोजित किया गया।
प्रमुख वक्ता के रूप में डॉ. एच.के. मावी, वैज्ञानिक, अर्थशास्त्र और समाज शास्त्र विभाग, पंजाब कृषि विश्वविद्यालय लुधियाना, उपस्थित रही।
प्रिंसिपल डॉ.नीतू हांडा, सामाजिक विज्ञान और शिक्षा विभागों के सदस्यों ने प्रमुख वक्ता का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया।
सेमिनार में एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन, एस.डी.पी सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, हजूरी रोड और एस.डी.पी सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल बस्ती जोधेवाल, लुधियाना के शिक्षकों और कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने भाग लिया।
प्रमुख वक्ता ने पंजाब में कृषि विपणन के महत्व पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया और कहा कि कृषि विपणन न केवल उत्पादन और खपत को प्रोत्साहित करने में बल्कि आर्थिक विकास की गति को तेज करने में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। उन्होंने छात्राओं को भारत में कृषि विपणन की बाधाओं से भी अवगत कराया गया। दोनों विभागों द्वारा एक पोस्टर मेकिंग गतिविधि का भी आयोजन किया गया जिसमें छात्राओं ने 'धरती माता और किसान' के ज्वलंत मुद्दों का कलात्मक रूप से प्रदर्शन किया।
सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन और प्रिंसिपल डॉ. नीतू हांडा ने इस कार्यक्रम के आयोजन के लिए दोनों विभागों की सराहना की। औपचारिक धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव डॉ. नीतू हांडा, प्रिंसिपल द्वारा प्रस्तावित किया गया। प्रिंसिपल डॉ. नीतू हांडा ने प्रमुख वक्ता को सार्थक और जानकारीपूर्ण व्याख्यान देने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने सेमिनार में ध्यानपूर्वक भाग लेने के लिए छात्राओं की भी प्रशंसा की।
